Fill quiet days with a WhatsApp campaign

Turn an empty Tuesday into a full one, with a single message to the right clients.

Good for
  • Salons and spas
  • Beauty centers
  • Fitness studios

Every salon has quiet days: mid-week afternoons, the week after Eid, the start of summer. A short offer to clients who have not visited for a while usually fills those slots, but only if someone is there to answer the flood of “is it still available?” replies. Your agent handles every reply and books straight into your calendar.

Customer: I saw your message about the mid-week offer. Is it still available?

Agent: Yes, the mid-week offer applies to blow-dry and hair treatment bookings from Sunday to Wednesday this week. Would you like to book? I have Tuesday at 3 pm or Wednesday at 5 pm.

Customer: Tuesday at 3.

Agent: You’re booked for Tuesday at 3 pm. Your booking reference is PP-6FJ3KA. See you then!

  1. Build your audience. In CRM > Groups, create a smart group, for example clients who have not been active for 60 days, or clients with a “VIP” tag. The group updates on its own right before sending, so it includes your newest contacts. See Organize customers with tags and groups.
  2. Create a Marketing template with the offer, and wait for Meta’s approval. Add an image header to make it stand out. See Create a WhatsApp template and Upload images and files for your templates.
  3. Add the offer to your knowledge base under Offers, with the dates, services, and conditions, so the agent answers correctly. See Upload your offers, inventory, or packages.
  4. Make sure Book appointments is installed and your specialists’ schedules are up to date.
  5. Launch the campaign from Marketing, now or scheduled for the morning of a quiet day. See Send a WhatsApp campaign.
  • Before sending: how many clients are Selected, Eligible, and Excluded (those who opted out of marketing). See Choose who receives a campaign.
  • After sending: who received, read, and replied, in the campaign’s Details. Save the readers as a group with Create Group for a follow-up.
  • Replies in Conversations and new bookings in the calendar.
  • Customers who opted out of marketing messages never receive Marketing templates. tkana handles opt-outs automatically. See How customers opt out of marketing messages.
  • Campaigns reach customers with a WhatsApp number only, not anonymous website visitors or Telegram-only contacts.
  • Meta bills template messages directly to the payment method on your Meta account, not from your tkana credits. Your agent’s replies use tkana credits as usual.
  • Too many campaigns hurt your WhatsApp number’s quality. Keep them focused and occasional. See Campaign best practices.
