With the Lead Qualification skill, your agent works every inbound lead against your own definition of a good lead. It asks a few focused questions, keeps the contact’s details up to date, tags each lead by stage, and alerts your sales team the moment a hot lead comes in, with the full conversation attached.

  1. Go to Settings, then under AI click Skills.

  2. Click + to open the Skill gallery, and choose Lead Qualification.

  3. Fill in the settings:

    • Qualification criteria: describe, in a paragraph, what makes a lead worth your sales team’s time. Your agent follows this text closely.
    • Hot lead tag, Nurture tag, Unqualified tag, Contacted tag: the tags used for each stage. Keep the defaults or rename them to match your language.
    • Sales alert email: where hot-lead alerts go.
  4. Click Install skill. Any stage tags that do not exist yet are created for you.

Your criteria are the heart of the skill. Cover the angles that matter to your sales team, such as budget, need, who decides, timing, and fit. For example:

A hot lead is a business in Saudi Arabia with at least 5 staff, that wants to start within the next 3 months, and whose contact is the owner or a manager. A lead who is interested but not ready to start within 3 months is nurture. Individuals, students, and job seekers are unqualified.

  1. It greets the lead in their language and learns what they need before it pitches anything.
  2. It asks focused questions one at a time, without repeating questions the lead already answered.
  3. As it learns the lead’s name, email, or company, it updates their contact record, and adds the Contacted tag once a real conversation has happened.
  4. It sets the stage tag: the hot lead tag when your criteria are met, the nurture tag when the lead is interested but not ready, and the unqualified tag when they are not a fit. A new stage replaces the previous one.
  5. For a hot lead, it opens a high-priority ticket titled “Hot lead:” followed by the lead’s name and main need, with a summary of who they are and which criteria they met. The ticket links to the conversation.
  6. It tells the lead that a specialist will follow up, and stops qualifying. It never invents prices beyond what is in your knowledge base.

Your sales alert email receives a message with the ticket number, the lead’s name, and their phone number.

  • Open Pipeline and choose Tickets to see hot-lead tickets alongside your other tickets.
  • Open the ticket’s linked conversation to continue in the same chat, with the full history in front of you.
  • Filter CRM by the hot lead or nurture tag to see your leads by stage, or build a smart group from those tags to follow up with a campaign. See Organize customers with tags and groups.
