How available times are calculated

Your agent never invents a time. Before it offers anything, it checks live availability for the service and resource the customer wants. Knowing how that check works helps you understand why a certain time does or does not appear.

For each day, tkana:

  1. Starts from the resource’s Weekly schedule for that day.
  2. Cuts the working hours into back-to-back slots the length of the service. For example, a 45-minute service starting at 09:00 offers 09:00, 09:45, 10:30, and so on.
  3. Removes any slot that overlaps an existing booking on that resource, including any buffer time around it.
  4. Removes slots that start too soon (if the service requires advance notice) and days that are too far ahead or outside the resource’s date window.

What is left are the open times, shown in your business’s time zone.

What you see Why
A whole day is missing The resource has that day marked as Day off, the date is outside its Fixed window, or it is further ahead than the service can be booked (60 days by default).
A time inside working hours is missing Another booking already holds that slot on the same resource. Completed and no-show bookings still hold their slot; only cancelled and rejected bookings free it.
The last slot of the day is missing The appointment would run past the end of the working hours. An appointment must fit completely inside the resource’s hours and cannot run past midnight.
Slots in the next few hours are missing The service needs a minimum amount of notice.
Nothing at all is offered The service or its resources are switched off, or the service is not linked to any active resource.

Availability is checked again at the moment the booking is made. If someone else booked the slot, or the time has passed while the customer was deciding, the booking is refused and your agent offers other times.

Two bookings can never overlap on the same resource, whether they come from the agent, your team, or anywhere else.
