Sign up and set up your agent

Setting up tkana takes a few minutes. You sign up, answer three short steps about your business, and you have a working AI agent you can test right away. You connect WhatsApp or your other channels when you are ready.

Sign up on the tkana sign-up page with your email address or phone number. If a teammate invited you to an existing account, open the link in your invitation email instead: you join their workspace directly and skip the setup steps below.

  1. Tell us about your business. Type your Business name and pick the Industry card that fits best, then click Continue. Your industry decides which skills are suggested in the next step, and you can refine things later.

  2. Choose Aida’s skills. The skills suggested for your industry appear in groups:

    • Core: the essentials, turned on by default.
    • Advanced: optional extras you can turn on.
    • Coming soon: skills that are not available yet.

Tick the skills you want and click Continue, let’s see Aida live. While you choose, you can message your agent on the phone preview to see how it answers.

  3. Name your assistant. Enter the name your customers will see (up to 30 characters). A suggested name for your industry is filled in for you. Optionally, pick one or more tones under Assistant tone (optional), such as Friendly or Professional. Then click Activate followed by your assistant’s name.

Once you activate your assistant, your workspace is ready with:

  • Your AI agent, named the way you chose, with the skills you picked.
  • A chat widget for your website and a chat page you can share as a link. Both are live from day one.
  • Core skills such as support tickets, customer management, and escalation to your team.
  • Trial credits, so your agent can start replying. See your balance at the top of every page.
  1. Set your goals on Home. Home shows a setup guide built around the goals you pick. See Use the setup guide on Home.
  2. Teach your agent about your business. Add your price list, services, and FAQs in Settings > Knowledge. See Understand your knowledge base.
  3. Test it. Open Try your agent and chat with it the way a customer would. See Test your agent.
  4. Connect a channel. Add WhatsApp, Telegram, or the chat widget from Settings > Channels. See Channels.
