Create bookings outside the chat

Most bookings come from your agent’s conversations or from your team in the calendar. You can also create and follow bookings in a few other ways. Every one of them runs the same checks, so a booking made anywhere can never clash with another.

Aida, the assistant built into the portal, can create, reschedule, and cancel bookings for you. Just ask, for example “Book Sara for a facial tomorrow at 4 pm with Nora”. Before anything changes, Aida shows you a confirmation card so you can check the details and approve.

Aida works with your own permissions: it can only do what your role allows, and only on the resources you are allowed to manage. Aida cannot delete bookings.

If you use another system, such as your own website or a partner platform, you can connect it to your bookings:

  • API keys: in Settings > API keys, click Create key and give the key access to bookings. Your developer can then list, create, and update bookings, and read your services and availability.
  • Webhooks: on the same page, click Add webhook to have tkana notify your system whenever a booking is created, confirmed, rescheduled, cancelled, rejected, completed, or marked as a no-show.

tkana can also provide a public booking page where customers pick a service, a staff member, and a time on their own, and which you can embed on your website. Contact tkana support to get the link for your business.
